Weightloss and the Struggle

Struggling with weight loss is a common thing. We all want to look like that mannequin in the window, but reality is we never will. I have learned that feeling good and living healthy is half the battle. Pure Med Spa gave me that opportunity. I can finally lose weight to look better, I can learn what I should be putting in my body to feel better and overall that's what HA2CG has been doing for me. I am not where I want to be, but making that first step and being able to share with others has been a joy. I have found that I have a gift, a gift of cooking healthy and I wanted to share my recipes with you, and I want your feedback: What did you think?, how did you feel?, and what recipes do you have for me? This is the place for us to be comfortable and move forward in this Journey together.

Easy shredded chicken wraps

This was one of the easiest lunch recipes! It was light, crisp and very flavorful!
I found a white shredded chicken in water can at the store, it met all the no oil/sugar/ fats and bad stuff requirements; so, I bought a few and for busy days they make the best lunches!

What I used:
 Shredded chicken
Mustard
Salt/pepper
Celery
Pickles
lettuce
Tomatoes

Apples
Cinnamon

In a bowl mix 6.5 oz of the canned chicken(drained), just enough mustard to get smooth texture, add salt/pepper to taste, chop up a stalk of celery into small pieces and chop up just about 1\2 a pickle to add flavor.

Spoon mixture into 3-4 lettuce leaves and slice up a few tomatoes and layer on top

For my side, I sliced up 1 serving of an apple, so half, and I sprinkled with cinnamon!

And that was it!!   It was very good and so simple, Enjoy!

Shrimp Creole

The best healthy cajun dinner you can have!!!!

I made here, a shrimp creole over cauliflower rice, with a side of raspberries and a piece of Melba toast!

You will need:
Shrimp
Cajun seasonings
Garlic
Tomatoes
Onions
Cauliflower
Sea salt
Pepper
Approved low fat chicken broth
Melba Toast
Raspberries

In a soup pot on med-low add broth, all seasonings to your liking, dice up tomatoes, chop up onions and let it all cook in the pot, stirring occasionally.

While sauce is cooking, start thawing, peeling, and deveining the shrimp; when done add them all to the pot!

In another pot, start boiling cauliflower heads in water, season the water with salt and let boil/cook until cauliflower becomes soft! When its a softer consistency, drain the water and mash down until rice like. You can then season with additional salt/pepper and garlic.

I made this recipe in bulk amounts to separate later! My scale has a bowl so I measured it out per portion as best as possible and then spooned it over about a cup of cauliflower rice to compensate the veggies in the pot! I then served mine with a side a raspberries and Melba toast, although, you can choose different sides!

Enjoy!

Cauliflower Pizza!!!

Cauliflower Chicken and Spinach Pizza!!!

                                                    MY NEW FAVORITE DINNER!!!

So this recipe takes a little bit more work but, when your craving pizza it is AMAZING!

YOU WILL NEED A GRATER TO GRATE THE CAULIFLOWER!!!
AND PARCHMENT PAPER, BECAUSE CRUST WILL STICK TO PAN

You will need:

Cauliflower
A tomato
Spinach Leaves
4.3 OZ. Chicken Breast
An Egg (Whites)

Minced Garlic
Chopped Onions
Salt/Pepper
Parsley
Paprika
Lemon (Juice)

First lets make the Crust!

PRE HEAT to 400

I used a little less than a cup and half of cauliflower
I used my cheese grater and grated all the cauliflower heads down to a powder like substance
add the white from ONE egg, and mix with a fork vigorously, until it becomes dough like
Line a pizza tray, or cookie sheet with parchment paper and scoop dough and form it into an even flat circle

 BAKE for about 20 min

                                                                 Making the Sauce

In a blender with puree speed you want to add 1 serving of a tomato (this will be your fruit substitute, since we already used our two cups of veggies) you want to add about 1/4 cup chopped onions, minced garlic and salt/pepper to taste
You will blend until smooth and creamy and you can then spread over crust

                                                              Cooking the Chicken

You want to cut up your 4.3 oz of chicken into smaller portions, (because there is an egg in the crust, we are using slightly less chicken)
In a non-stick pan, spritz with lemon juice and start to grill the chicken, I sprinkled mine with more minced garlic, paprika and salt/pepper

                                                                   Assembly

With that 1/4 cup of veggies you have left to use, we use for the top. Now that are crust cooked, and has been spread with tomato sauce, we will now add that 1/4 cup of spinach leaves and then top with the chicken!

That's it!!! Takes about an hour to do!

                                                                   ENJOY!

What is hA2cg Evolution?

I realize, some of you may not know what hA2cg is,
and you may be wondering, "why is this lady posting recipes?"

Let me take a moment to explain to you the proper terms of this diet and then I'll break it down for you, because this diet can be very overwhelming at first.

"Weight loss only occurs with changes in diet and an increase in exercise levels. However, DesBio carries a line of homeopathic and nutritional products to support you in reaching your weight loss goals. hA2cg Evolution is a comprehensive, homeopathic product designed to support practitioner-supervised weight loss. This revolutionary, homeopathic formula contains a blend of ingredients, including AACG-A and AACG-B. These bio identical, amino acid chain groups along with 21 other time-tested homeopathic supportive ingredients help promote appetite control, immunity, blood sugar regulation, and mood while completing the program."

E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N weight management program guide page 1

"World famous endocrinologist Dr. Albert T. W. Simeons was the first to propose the concept of calorie-restricted diet incorporating doses of human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) and to refine this concept into a workable protocol. Dr. Simions observed that pregnant woman in poverty-stricken countries, though underfed and malnourished themselves, would still give birth to normal, healthy babies. Human chorionic gonadotrophin, a hormone produced by women during pregnancy, makes this possible by mobilizing non-essential fat stores to provide energy to the developing fetus. hA2cg Evolution contains patent-pending sets of amino acid chains that are bio-identically similar to proven active binding sites of the original hCG molecule. However, it contains no molecules of human (animal) chorionic gonadotrophin."

E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N weight management program guide page 2

"Researchers have established that the human chorionic gonadotrophin molecule is compromised of 244 amino acids in two ribbons or chains. Research has demonstrated that only small portions of these chains actively contribute to the molecule's positive effects on body composition. hA2cg Evolution delivers AACG-A and AACG-B (the only active portions of the molecule) in a bio identical format. The homeopathic dilutions of these active amino acid chains help modulate the many uncomfortable symptoms associated with calorie-restricted weight loss plans, including hunger, low energy, poor mood, and fatigue."

I know what you are all thinking, "what does this mean?", "What do I do?" and "How do I start?"

What this means is there is a diet plan, that can help you start a healthy lifestyle. You can lose weight, you can feel great, and you can finally be healthy!

Feeling great during a diet, "Ha what a joke, right?"

NO this is not a joke!

I have never felt better on this diet, the detox really wakes you up, there are so many great viatamins and nutrients in everything that you are getting that really optimizes this diet for you.

Let me be real with you, the first three days I was starving, I was so hungry I could of ate a cow; but, the nurse practitioner Victoria kept telling me "just stick to it, it goes away," I'm not even joking you, three days later, I'm not even as hungry, and you know what's great? When I do get hungry, I don't feel mean, I don't get the head aches and fatigue and I think that is what really sold this diet for me!

With this diet you receive, a detox box that contains 6 bottles of cerebromax, spinalmax,Matrix support, Detox 1, Detox 2, and Detox 3. You alternate three bottles at a time 10 drops from each in a liter bottle of water, and you sip it all day everyday for 10 days before the diet and then throughout the whole diet!

You will also receive a bottle of hA2cg drops. With these you do 10 drops under the tongue, 15 mins before you eat, three times a day. These are the magic drops that contain AACG-A and AACG-B that you read about before, that Dr. Simeons discovered.

You will also receive a bottle of Equoslim, this your weight management pill, the active ingredient in it is Equol, which has been proven to increase metabolism and promote weight loss. Equoslim also contains other natural ingredients to provide a nutritional supplement for those who have weight loss goals, and it helps with your overall mood and I've found helps with your digestion through this diet.

You will also receive a bottle of Appetite Control drops. It is what it says it is. When you're hungry, drop 10 drops under your tongue and it subsides your hunger and cravings. You can do this up to 3 times a day and it works magic when you are first starting out!

Last but not least, you will receive a container of OptimaLean. OptimaLean is sometimes mistaken for just your protein shake and meal replacement. At first that's what I thought, but its not, these shakes really help boost the metabolism. I didn't like the taste of mine at first, so I stopped drinking them for breakfast and I was shocked to see that I didn't lose weight for two days! As soon, as I got back on the shakes I noticed a tremendous difference. What I love about these shakes, is when its paired with the drops and the Equoslim you really do just feel so much better, and fuller, and the weight starts to just fall off! Another patient at Pure is on this diet and she missed the Equoslim for a few days and she realized she was a lot more bloated, and constipated, and we realized that all these supplements that you are getting really work so well together! It stinks, because you have so many different things, but the makers of this diet thought everything out for you, so that you can live comfortably while doing it!

All I really have left to explain to you is the diet portion itself!

A typical day starts out with your breakfast:

hA2cg drops 15 min prior to food

Equoslim pill
OptimaLean Shake
and a cup of herbal tea or black coffee

A typical lunch
hA2cg drops 15 min prior to food

Equoslim pill
6.5 oz meat
2 cups Vegetables
1 serving of fruit

A typical dinner

hA2cg drops 15 min prior to food

6.5 oz meat
2 cups Vegetables
1 Serving of fruit

and that my friends is the hA2cg diet, luckily this plan comes with a weight loss guide that goes in depth and tells you what you can and cannot eat, and you also get to meet with the Nurse Practitioner as often as you need to track your progress, everyone at the Med Spa are always willing to help and talk things over and this blog is to help answer questions and give you food ideas, because, you can't eat the same things all the time! I know it is a lot to take in but, this diet is life changing!! WHY? Because, I forgot to tell you there is a maintenance phase afterwards, we want you to optimize your weight loss journey, and keep it off!!!

SORBET!!! ARE YOU FOR REAL!!!!

THE BEST SORBET I HAVE EVER HAD!!!
mainly because, its the only sorbet we can have ;)

I don't know about ya'll but, I need sweet stuff every now and then! I decided for my fruit one night, I was gonna have ice cream well, sorbet; and its healthy so no worries!!!

                      What you'll need:
1 serving of FROZEN fruit ( I used FROZEN Organic Strawberries)
                      Water

In a good blender do equal portions of water and frozen fruit, blend/puree until smooth

and that is all you do, it is so yummy, and so simple!

ITS PERFECT!

Pickley Cucumbers!

Cucumbers are so good for you on this diet, but,
eating raw cucumbers all the time starts to get old!

                                                              So I "adjusted" it ;)

So Easy and so yummy and if you knew me, I love sour vinegary things (like pickles)

So lets get to it..... You will need
Cucumbers
white vinegar
dill
salt
paprika (optional)

Step one: slice your cucumbers!  I peeled part of mine and sliced very thin :))
Step two: Put them in a container and cover with remaining ingredients!
Step three: Try to let them sit for a night or two so that the flavors really soak in, and then ENJOY!

*you can save the left over juices to start a new batch, the flavors get better and better each time as it sits :)

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SNACK SO TELL ME WHAT YA THOUGHT?

Mama Meatball!

okay, I promise I will post some chicken and sea food recipes soon, but first let me share with you another *italian* food recipe!

So yesterday for lunch I had these beautiful things and they were soo good and so easy, and I actually made these last Sunday when I prepped out all my lunch recipes!

    Ingredients:

Ground Chicken or Turkey (I used turkey for these ones)
 Italian seasoning
 Minced Garlic
 Onion Powder
 Salt/Pepper

Step one: mix it up in a bowl and roll out into little balls
Step two: spritz the bottom of a frying pan with a little splash of lemon juice
Step three: cook them up, rolling them around until evenly cook

AND THAT'S IT! SO EASY! SO YUMMY!

you can take just a little bit of tomato and puree it with garlic and onion if you want a sauce

                                                                                            ENJOY!!!

CORN-LESS POPCORN!

So Molly (my daughter) wanted to see Legend of Oz (the new wizard of oz in theaters). How, could I tell her no? What I wasn't ready for yet, was going to a theater with Candy and Popcorn and not being able to eat it!

So, what did I do? I adjusted my all time yummy, favorite movie treat!

                                                      POPCORN!!!!

Who ever said we can't have corn on this diet, stepped on the wrong bear's toes!
.......but, who is getting the last laugh now?

Cauliflower (my favorite substitute) is now the new popcorn!

Now, it won't taste exactly like that sweet buttery taste, but it is pretty darn close!

So here is what you do.....

Step one: Take a Tupperware container and fill it with 2 cups of the cauliflower heads (try to cut off as much of the stem as possible, so that it looks more like popcorn)

Step Two:Then take garlic salt, regular salt, a little pepper and paprika and sprinkle it on top of the cauliflower like you would popcorn!

Step three: Shake it all up and Enjoy!!

note: you can use what ever seasonings you want, it doesn't change anything!

Diet note: I did not eat my veggie serving that night for dinner, so that I could eat my *Popcorn at the movies!

I hope you guys try and enjoy this one! I sure did !

Turkey Stuffed Tomato

Let's kick off this blog with one of my favorite recipes!
When I started this journey, one of my biggest fears was cheating because of how much I missed my favorite foods. On the top of that list would be Stuffed Peppers! The ones with rice and fatty meat and all the amazing seasonings that just melted in your mouth! Unfortunately, that's definitely not healthy. Those fats and carbs are just going to pile up and cause those ugly lumps and bumps we're all trying to get rid of.

Good News is, I found out a way to make a hA2cg approved version! No peppers, no yucky carbs and fats, its all healthy and its all good for us to eat on the HA2CG diet. I have lost 6 pounds in the first week of my diet! And I am excited to report that it was way easier than I thought. Once I figured out where all the bad stuff was coming from, it made it much easier to come up with a new and improved version. I can still eat the few I love and crave, just with a few adjustments.

What do I mean by adjustments? That yummy rice that we all want so bad... well, I have a surprise for you! ITS CALLED CAULIFLOWER!! And it is amazing!

That fatty meat we miss? Lets switch it out for ground turkey instead. Feel free to dress it up with some seasonings.

I have to keep telling myself "this is my Italian food for the week", No its not the real thing, but it sure is pretty darn close!

So let me share with you this awesome recipe and you guys tell me what you thought of it!

Check your fridge, you will need:

         -A Bright Red Tomato
-About a cup and half of Cauliflower
-6.5oz Ground Turkey  (can be substituted, with ground chicken)
-A wee bit of chopped onions

Now for the seasonings.... Go crazy! Add, don't add, do what you like!!

Garlic (powder, minced, cloves...doesn't matter, toss her in)
         Cilantro
         Parsley
         Dill
         Oregano
         Basil
         Paprika
         Salt
         Pepper

(DO NOT STRESS if you don't have all these seasonings, eventually build your spices, but for now, use what ya got)

Step one: start boiling water and toss your cauliflower in and cover
Step two: cut one of the ends off your tomato, to where it can still stand up and the cut is on top
Step three: with a spoon scoop out a good bit of the inside, leaving enough thickness for it to hold up
(if your a sauce girl, save those insides! )
Step four: spritz a non stick frying pan with a little water to keep meat from sticking
Step five: start browning the meat while adding in dashes of all the seasonings and that wee little bit of chopped onions and let it cook
Step six: the cauliflower should be soft at this point, take a potato masher and start mashing it around until it's rice like. (you can use that 1 tbs. of low fat milk your allowed and salt if you wish to give it that creamy substance and flavor, I also add garlic salt to mine to spice it up)
Step seven: scoop some of the rice** into the tomato, and then scoop the seasoned meat into it until topped off

You have now completed your Stuffed Tomato! Enjoy!!

For my sauce lovers...........

Take the insides of that tomato and puree it with cilantro, basil, salt and garlic until its creamy and sauce like, you can drizzle just bit of it over your tomato if you wish.

You can use any of the left over cauliflower as your side, but let me advise you, you will not be able to do a fruit with this meal. In the guide you can use your tomato as either or, so what I did was use the tomato as my fruit, the cauliflower, little bit of onion, and that drizzle of sauce as my veggie, I had my 6.5 oz of turkey meat and that was my meal. This meal is great to pre-make a lot of, so that you can have lunches on those busy days at work!
